Single Malt SINGLE MALT (2010) (Wild West Wind X ((Blazing Light x Wild West sibling) x Idol)) Bright golden brown with excellent form. Seedling 478X.
Just a Kiss Away JUST A KISS AWAY (2009) (Lotus Land X Queen of Angels) Love is JUST A KISS AWAY. Delicious lacy opulence.  The first of three or four intros from this great cross.  Makes big clumps here.  Show branching.  Voted "Favorite Iris" at Region 18 convention, 2010.  Seedling 3208Z.
EXHIBITIONIST  (2009) ((Conjuration x Gigolo) X (Gallant Rogue x Magic Kingdom)) This one demands center stage! Lavender amoena with blazing red-orange in throat. When well-grown, EXHIBITIONIST shows off long fuzzy horns with a small lavender dot at the end, matching the falls! Seedling 8134.
PALE FIRE (2009) (Opposing Forces X Frosted Pumpkin) Wonderful distinctive color blend. Delicate pastels accented by a flame of a beard. A good grower in Colorado. Seedling 3155Q.
POINT COUNTERPOINT  (2009) (High Priestess X Ring Around Rosie) Big bright variegata from unusual parentage. The first of what could be several in-troductions from 'High Priestess'. Vigorous and hardy. Good stalks. Should be an interesting parent. Seedling 2133 var
KING OF LIGHT  (2007) (Amber Elegance X Quito) Big, bright, non-fading, modern, ruffled. Great stalks. Received flattering comments at the Portland AIS convention as a seedling. Best Seedling, Region 20 Show, 2006. Perry Dyer's Contemporary Views "Pick of the Litter" Award.
PHANTOM SHIP ((2007) ((Tempting Fate x Vigilante) X Sea Power) Strong and dramatic. Awesome presence in the garden and on the show bench. Best Speci-men Elmohr Iris Society Show 2007. Voted favorite out-of-region iris, Region 18 convention, 2010.
QUEEN ELEANOR OF AQUITAINE  (2007) (Laugh Lines X County of Kent) Distinctive, modern and strong growing luminata plicata. Our second introduction ('Elizabethan Age' is the other) from the excellent parent 'County of Kent'. Third place (behind Phantom Ship and Just A Kiss Away, Region 18 convention, 2010. HM 2009.
BELLE DE PROVENCE  (2006) (Melba Hamblen X Caracas) A beautifully formed and ruffled late-season beauty. Showing herself to be an excellent parent. Favorite Iris 2007 TBIS Tour. Best Specimen Region 20 Show 2007. American Iris Society Award of Merit 2010.
ELIZABETHAN AGE   (2005) (((Cheating Heart x (Prize Drawing x Flights of Fancy)) X County of Kent) Luminata with strong colors and good form. Strong, healthy plants. American Iris Society Award of Merit 2009.
NEON MAMA (2004) (Tempting Fate X Vigilante) Yellow standards with patterned blue and red falls. Distinctive and eye-catching. HM 2008.
Border Bearded Iris
BONJOUR (2008) (Zing Me X Silverado) Distinctive and eye-catching. Makes a great clump.
ZINGERADO  (2004) (Zing Me X Silverado) White with gold pumila spot. Great clumps. Winner "Best Border Bearded", 2004 Florence Competition. Ameri-can Iris Society Award of Merit 2010.

Byzantine Ruby BYZANTINE RUBY (2010) (Stolen Heart X Energizer) A beautiful child of two or Howard Shockey's best irises. Striking ruby red signal. Seedling 327E.
Xerxes XERXES (2010) ((Turkish Pendant x Energizer) X Turkestan) Stately and bright. Seedling 903.
BABYLON PRINCE (OGB-) (2009) (Nordic Sky X Smash) A new type of arilmedian.  'Nordic Sky' is Howard Shockey's OGB that was introduced in 2009.  'Smash' is a tetraploid MTB from the Craigs.  Flowers are smaller that those of a typical arilbred.
PERSIAN SAPPHIRE (OGB-)  (2005) (Chubby Cheeks X Barbarella) An SDB that is an arilbred!  Grows as strongly as any SDB here in Colorado.  Geneti-cally 1/2 Iris pumila, 1/4 aril and 1/4 tall bearded.  Seedling #604B.  AM 2009.
HAMMURABI  (OGB)  (2004) (Teucros X Astra Girl) (RC X MTB) Very aril-looking diploid halfbred.  Notably healthy plants here in Colorado. 17".  Looked good at Oklahoma City Convention.  Goes dormant in summer and winter here.  AM 2009.
RIVERS OF BABYLON  (OGB)  (2004) (Lancer X (Bionic Focus x Turkish Pendant)) Distinctive colors, fine form.  Tall with straight stalks.  HM 2006.  American Iris Society Award of Merit 2008.  C.G. White Medal 2010.
BYZANTINE ART  (OGB)  (2001)  (Onlooker X unknown)  Dark signal bleeds red.  A strong grower. American Iris Society Award of Merit, 2005.  C.G. White Medal 2008 (Top award for arilbreds).

BARREL HOUSE BLUES  (2004)  (Best Bet X What Again)  Bright sky blue with darker infusions in petal centers.  Sister of 'Midsummer Night's Dream'.  Looked good at 2007 MIS Convention.  HM 2008.
MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM   (1999)  (Best Bet X What Again)  Our first seedling and, so far, our most successful introduction.  Winner of the American Iris Society's Sass Medal, the top award for Intermediates.  MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM is a REBLOOMER, consistently providing flowers from August until frost.  Smooth, wide and ruffled. 
Standard Dwarf Bearded Irises
DONE ME WRONG  (2009)  (Gaily Forward X ((Muchacha x Orange Dazzler) x (Muchacha x Chubby Cheeks)))  Bright yellow with very bright orange beards accented by a lighter area in the center of the falls.  Perhaps she will be truer to you than she was to me.  Seedling 374H. 
PHILIP MARLOWE (2009)  (Dinky Circus X Rebus)  Dramatic contrasting dark purple stripes on a white ground.   Named for Raymond Chandler's hard-boiled private eye.  Seedling 185G. 
SOME SUNNY DAY (2009)  ((Pure Allure x Chubby Cheeks) X ((Muchacha x What Again) x (French Toast x Chubby Cheeks)))  Exceptional wide and round form.  Soft and smooth.  Pure and clean as a Colorado morning.  Seedling 3105C. 
TROUBLEMAKER  (2009)  (Marksman X (Pele x Jazzamatazz))  Stunningly bright beards make TROUBLEMAKER the one that garden visitors notice first.  A prolific bloomer.  You'll know who to blame if your irises misbehave.  Seedling 143Q. 
IT AIN'T ME BABE (2007)  ((((Muchacha x What Again) x (French Toast x Chubby Cheeks)) x Frugal) X Rebus)  Beautiful, floriferous luminata-plicata.  Small round flowers. 
VIVALDI (2007)  (Chubby Cheeks X (Lap Cat x (Sapphire Gem x Chubby Cheeks)))  True sky blue in a modern Standard Dwarf plicata.  Excellent wide form.  Nice clumps.
coy mistress COY MISTRESS (2005) (Doll X Chubby Cheeks) Sets a standard for wide form in SDB's, equaled only by 'Some Sunny Day'. Clear soft white with bashful baby blue plicata markings. Sweet perfume. "Had we but world enough and time….."

TRIPLICITY  (John J. Taylor 2008)  Species-X  ('Sherman' sibling)   A lovely pastel.  14-18"  'Triplicity' is the type of the nothospecies I. xpreeceana J.J. Taylor. 
VULTEE  (John J. Taylor 2007)  Species-X  ((I. timofefewii x I. reichenbachii) x Swerti) X sibling)   An intriguing diploid Standard Dwarf-size plicata with branching and buds.  Vigorous.
IRINA'S GEM  (Juri Pirogov 2006)  Species (Iris aphylla).  Collected in the "Yamskaya Steppe" area near the city of Stary Oskol in the Belgorod region of Russia.  'Irina's Gem' was the one plant with lavender flowers among thousands of the usual purple aphyllas.  Found by, and named for, Irina Zolotukhina.  Grows to about 12 inches in Colorado.
